25th Festival del Sur \u2013 International Conference on Art and Culture<\/h4>

The Sumak Wallpary Cultural Foundation is pleased to collaborate with the 25th Festival del Sur \u2013 International Days of Art and Culture, one of the most important cultural gatherings in the region, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary under the motto \"WE ARE.\"

This edition's commemorative poster is a work by artist Miguel \u00c1ngel Almeida, inspired by mandalas, the Andean chacana, the golden ratio, and the palindrome, as a tribute to humanity's common origins and the richness of our interbreeding. In a world plagued by conflict and imbalance, this image invites us to reflect on the need to integrate our diversity, cultures, and sensibilities into a shared horizon of balance, equality, and coexistence.

The Festival del Sur 2025 will take place from October 15 to November 30, 2025, in Quito and other cities in Ecuador, bringing together artists, collectives, and projects from different latitudes in a lively dialogue of art, culture, and community.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Apocalypse \u2013 Work by master Alberto Santoro<\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n


The Sumak Wallpary Cultural Foundation, in partnership with maestro Alberto Santoro Williams, presents the collection \"Apocalypse,\" a set of works that invite reflection on humanity's greatest dilemmas.

Launched in 1999 and reissued in 2025, the series addresses themes such as the environmental crisis, armed conflict, and the fragility of human values, connecting ancestral, biblical, and contemporary symbols.

Through intense colors and dreamlike forms, Santoro reveals both the beauty and the pain of our time, calling for collective consciousness in the face of the challenges that threaten the planet and humanity.

\"Apocalypse\" is one of Santoro's most powerful works, where painting becomes a chronicle and a warning. In his canvases, feminine trees, vibrant tones, and scenes of destruction are intertwined with religious and mythological symbols, reminding us of the close relationship between nature, women, and life.

His style fuses elements of expressionism, surrealism and abstractionism, creating compositions charged with emotional force.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
