The Sumak Wallpary Cultural Foundation<\/strong> is a non-profit organization committed to preserving ancestral values, human dignity, and the transformative power of art.

From the diverse roots of Ecuador, we believe that identity lives on through artistic expression\u2014visual, musical, performing, and photographic. Sumak Wallpary symbolizes our purpose: weaving collective beauty from cultural memory and community action.<\/strong>

We understand art as a force that heals, teaches, sustains, and inspires, especially when shared with those who need it most: children, youth, marginalized communities, and indigenous peoples.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We promote the visual, musical, performing, and photographic arts as living languages \u200b\u200bof memory, identity, and spirit.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We promote creative processes with a social focus in vulnerable rural and urban areas, creating safe and expressive spaces for children, youth, and disadvantaged populations.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We integrate art with environmental awareness, strengthening the link between culture and territory. We recognize the Pachamama<\/strong> as a sacred principle of life and we promote sustainable and respectful practices.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At each meeting, we reaffirm that institutions and communities move forward from their own priorities. As the SUMAK WALLPARY Foundation, we understand that it's not about pulling in one direction, but rather becoming a living tool that accompanies processes from where they originate: in culture, art, the land, and the community.<\/p><\/div>

We met with diplomatic representatives from Guatemala in a rich exchange. This conversation allowed us to refine our lines of action and better understand our counterparts' priorities. Thank you for opening the door to dialogue with respect and clarity.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Learning from the source:<\/h4><\/div>

We approached an indigenous community whose worldview, history, and relationship with the land challenge the frameworks of Western civilization. Through sincere dialogue, we learned that they do not consider themselves \"indigenous,\" but rather living peoples with their own identity.
